accident EDIT now w pic
Well, my 951 may be totaled. I rear ended someone (completely my fault) when a 911 turbo in a parking lot caught my eye and distracted me. My hood is bent so that I cant see out the windshield, the passenger side fender is ripped and bent, the windshield is all cracked up, and the header panel is dented beyond repair. My nose was basically jammed under an F-150, but those were the only pieces touched.
So, does anyone have any guesses about the $$ in body work i will need? I figure 2800 for the parts, then about the same for labor. At this point I hope insurance totals it, I will just eat the $2000 deductible, take the 4 grand or whatever they give me, buy the car back, and either part it out or fix it with used parts.
Anyone know any good body shops in the Boston area?
Thanks for the help, I will post pics later this week. Thank god nobody was hurt!

Hmmm, I was able to get used parts for mine when I wrecked it:
Fender: 150
Bumper: 300
I didn't have to get a hood but I cant imagine more than 300.
Header Panel: 150
I hope the IC is ok.
Definitely don't part it out, you can get out of this in decent shape if you get good used parts.

not sure of any good shops around here. im in teh boston area myself, and also wrecked mine, lol. but i wrecked mine in VT and had it fixed there by a friend of mine. i found the rear quarter panel for like 125 on ebay. if ya look around you can usualy find good deals on parts. i wouldnt part it out. although if ya wanna get rid of some of the performance enhancing goodies in it....

The IC and front bumper are fine, its just the hood, windshield, fender, and header panel that need to be replaced. I guess I will just have to wait until I have some estimates before anything else. Insurance uses all new OEM parts not used or aftermarket correct?

I've got a non-wrecked shell (body complete with glass, etc..) and a ton of parts that I could sell you to fix your car with.
Basically you would take your drivetrain and install it in the car I have, etc...
PM me if you are interested. It's a black '86 car.
I'd sell it for $2k

if you cant find them used, id recommend buying fiberglass or CF replacements. im guessing OEM is out of the question, i recently wrecked my car in a similiar incident see "oil leak...no pressure" i had the hood quoted for $1300 and the front bumper for another $1100, fenders were 525 a piece i think, all of this is without paint... i found CF replacements for about half of this.

I've been there man, only my eye caught some old SOB in a red BMW yelling his fekking lungs out. I also ran into a truck
Anyway, defintaley go with Tony's deal, you can hire someone for a couple hundred bucks to pick it up and drive it to you.
Good luck
