Default Saturn exhaust studs?

Can somebody give me more information. I went to the Saturn dealer to get these and they were asking what year car and all that then a mechanic showed up and told the parts guy he thought 94 on used the same ones so he looked in the book for a while then looked in a drawer and said he did not have any. I don't know if he was just confused or what but I would like to know exactly what to get so if they don't have it I can tell them to order them.

Tom, I got some last year from the dealer. The problem I found was that they are a bit too short in my opinion. I just didn't want to take a chance of getting them in and then not have enough threads in the head and possibly strip out of the head. They are nice in that they have the torx head for removal and installation but in the end I went with factory studs. I think they are on any of the L4 engines if you want to get some to take a close look.

My dad just went by the Saturn dealer with my stud dimensions... He talked to the guys there and told them what he was looking for and they told him they didn't have any in stock. Then one guy went in the back and found a cylinder head that was getting returned to the factory and he just took them out of it and gave them to my dad - for free. I have yet to look at them, but I imagine they are what I need. I'll see if they are too short when I get them. Also, I think Toyota have the same ones as Saturn... or some that will work equally as well.

Well I don't know I went there with one of my exhaust studs in my hand but since they said they did not have any it did not help. I need a part number or at least an exact car I can tell them to make sure I get the right ones. Can anybody confirm or deny about them being shorter then ours?

Thank You!

Thanks for the info! I called the dealer today and ordered the ones for a 94 sc2. He said they will be here either Monday or Tuesday so I will report back if they are the right ones.

Ok I received the studs today and the threads are the same length as my studs plus they have the extra part to get a tool on it. I asked them for exhaust studs for a 94 SC2 and the part # is 11518152. It cost me $4.32 for all 8 of them! Thanks for the help guys

No it was not that bad but it was a lot easier just telling the guy behind the counter what to look up and order since they did not have any in stock to compare.

Friday is good for me I don't work because of the holiday so any time will work.

Well actually I put the starter back already I am starting to get to the point where the car is going back together. It won't take much to pull it out if you want me to. You can let me know when you call for directions.
