What have you done to your 944 S2 Cabriolet?

Removed almost all the original paint off the front bumper cover to prep for paint.
Got the 968 mirrors ready for paint.
Got the front splitter ready for white bed Liner.
Got the rear spoiler ready for paint.
Got two boxes of parts. 48 different colors of mil-spec wire, wire cover(with hot knife to cut it), heat shrink tubing, and a Deutsch HDP20 Series 33 pin Connector. Time to start on the wiring harness.

not sure if i asked you, but did your rear spoiler come with rubber stops for the ends? if they didn't, the corners of the splitter will make contact with the body over bumps and will make noise, or/and scratch the body.

No, It didn't come with the rubber stops. I'll have to figure out something to use.

welcome. how would you compare the vantage to the 944 outside of the whole top down thing? i've considered getting a v8 vantage volante if i ever had to part ways with my cab. then i put the pipe back down.

Not to knock the new toy, but stepping into the Aston feels special. Everything from the raucous exhaust note to the leather feels unique. Everything that looks like metal is metal, everything else is covered I sumptuous leather. It is one of the last analog cars available (Hydraulic steering, manual transmission). I just had it at a track day a few weeks ago and the handling was as balanced as I expect of a 944.
Later models get an additional 40-50 hp. There are faster cars available, but it seems fast enough. Not going to get rid of it any time soon.
As far as what have I done to my 944 cab today, I took the front license plate off. There is some discoloration from the rubber on the license plate bracket. Does anyone know of a good solution to cover the holes?

you might try bumperplugs.com. you may have to end up calling them since the 944 is not listed on their site anymore.
yes, with the aston, i'd have to get a manual. unfortunately, i think that stops at 2011, just before they made the S.

Got the bed liner on the front splitter and the side plastic pieces.
Drove it to RennSport Reunion V. Took a couple parade laps. There is nothing like dropping into the corkscrew with the top down.
Here is some video my 13 year old son took and posted on his youtube channel(please like his vids and subscribe to his channel)

I liked it when you were able to pick up the speed. your son needed to hold the camera up higher. He will learn. I would love to have a track like that near me. I didn't know that they would let you on the track with out a roll cage.

It is not exactly close. It was an 11 hour drive each way. The weather was perfect for a top down drive there and back(which resulted in seriously sun burned forearms).
It was just a low speed(mostly ) parade lap. No passing or other fun things allowed so any Porsche was allowed on the track. It was still worth the price of admission.

Added the Koni coil-over kit to the front. Even lowered all the way down and no helper springs, the main springs are too long. I ordered some 8 inch springs. The new camber plate nuts for the strut rod have a strange ledge on the inside so they can not be tightened down enough. I've got to drill and tap them to make them fit correctly.
There is always something with this car.
