There is a temp sensor that screws into the underside of the S2 intake. I am trying to find out where it is on the factory wiring diagram and where the wires go.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Cleaned up one of the axles/CV joints.

Found some white door seal/weather striping and used it as the gasket for the clear rear side marker lights.

Cleaned up the other axle/CV.
Installed the stage8 locking bolts into the axles

Started another project on the car.

The picture is the future plan. Until that is completed I need a simpler intake for an S2 turbo. I guess I'll build my own.

Ingredients:
1 951 intake
1 944 S2 intake
1 band saw
1 metal file
1 big tub of elbow grease
1 big aluminum pipe
1 small aluminum pipe(because I screwed up)

Measure
Apply band saw to the 951 and S2 intakes
Test fit intake parts together
File to fit

Repeat for 4 hours
Plan for pipe fitting for gaps
Take to friend who welds aluminum

Stay tuned for the results

That is a nice one.

Interestingly my drivers seat (black) is starting to show some red as it wears so I spread a seam and discovered that the seat was once red. That is making me wonder if I too had a red interior in my black cab.

if it's the case I may return it to its former red glory

Correct,

Once I started, I knew there was no going back to the original setup.
(well, I could, I actually cut up a spare S2 intake)

I got a couple packages in the mail today. Arnnworx belt change tools and a set of 968 mirrors. They are black so that is just one more thing to have to repaint. The project list doesn't seem to be getting shorter.

I need help from you guys. I can't make up my mind what to do with the camber plates I bought. They are machined bare aluminum at this point in time.
Here are the options I have rolling around in my head:
#1 clear coat them
#2 Powder coat them the same grey as the strut bar ends
#3 Anodize them blue to match the strut bar.
#4 Powder coat them the same color blue as the sway bar.

So what is your vote, 1, 2, 3, or 4?

i think i'd PC to match the strut bar ends. then the bar stands out. and, you won't ever see the camber plates and the sway bars at the same time so won't know they are matching so no point there.

or you could just give them to me and let me mull over your options for the next 20 years

Before I think about painting the mirrors, does anyone have a set of white 968 mirrors in great shape they would want to trade for a set of black ones in great shape?

Default Black Bart

Black Bart has blown his front seal on the power steering pump. This was a rebuilt pump from RockAuto. I have order a replacement and we'll see how good RockAuto one year warranty is.

I have a 1991 S2 Cabriolet. it has been my summer, weekend toy for 8 years now. sadly it has 2 major problems. trunk latch will not release and the drivers side top bow broke. does anyone know where I can purchase a top bow fro a reasonable price? really want to get it fixed, miss driving on nice days on the weekend.
