I put one of those long round foam pool floats(they call them a pool noodle) in where the crease would be for the rear window. It is soft and keeps the window curved enough to prevent a crease. I do have to cut is to the right length. I replace it each spring.

That's a great idea! Thanks, I'll get a noodle right away. I polished the window, made A big difference.

So my roof squeaks and rattles like crazy when it's up. I have been thinking of trying to tighten things up. Any recommendations how and what to do / look for

Thanks
Mark

1933beer, that front cross brace is at bkauto.com item R-1524, you can search for it by name or part number from the welcome page. If you drill down on the item you will see a picture of it installed. In combination with the strut tower brace, the car felt much more solid. Hope this helps,

Jon

good to see the thread cranked back up, and with new people!

Jon, it looks like your front passenger side fender liner may be hanging. do you hear it rubbing against your tire?

i'm too ashamed to list my to-do's because its been the same for a year. i don't want get to called out on it. haha.

i got a brand new top and already have scratches on my window from the rear shelf. i think they are light enough to prob polish out. if the rear shelf was made with a microfiber material i think it would stop that from happening.

I drove to Las Vegas with my front bumper cover off(long story) I'm now missing the front lower quarter to my passenger side fender liner. The new edge is shaped suspiciously like the shape of the cross section of my front tire. OOPS!

I bought some matt white vinyl wrap for my car. I jumped right in working on one of the most complex shapes on the whole car for my first attempt at using vinyl. I wrapped one of the 968 mirrors. I can't get the inside curves as smooth as I want but I'm hoping it won't be too noticeable.

AZ, theres no way I'm going to catch you in terms of time and attention given to your car. i did however think about wrapping my front spoiler in carbon weave wrap if it gets too beat up, but getting it 3M'ed after it was painted has worked wonders so far.

I finally fixed the electric lock on my 1990 S2 Cab and installed new shocks on the trunk lid. On my 951, when I press the release button the rear hatch pops open. I was expecting the trunk to pop open on the cab. It does not. Is it supposed to open when the release button is pushed?

Mine opens a bit but has to be pulled up after. Is it supposed to open all the way?

Thanks folks. Just to be clear, when the trunk release button is pushed, the trunk opens a little bit but does not open all the way. This is after I installed new stock struts, which were not all that easy to find...
