What have you done to your 944 S2 Cabriolet?
#604
68,800 miles, original paint and a clear carfax and tons of quality extras :
-3 piece cross membrane (lowers your mechanic bill when servicing under the car) (original comes with car )
- PRISTINE bbs porsche 2 piece wheels/ tons of tires (came off the rare 993 targas, tires are continentals )
- few cosmetic mods as you can see (993 mirrors, strut brace, koni rears, bluetooth radio speedometer rings, momo prototipo wheel, boxster s shifter, clear lenses, aluminum *****, euro red taillights and much more........)
exterior and interior are pristine , has supple leather seats in perfect shape......will not disappoint
- clutch, timing belt, ac, slave, brakes and few little things were done at 60000 miles.
comes with ALL maintenance records, original tool kit, 2 set of porsche keys, a box of brat penn green oil & a box full of quality maintenance parts , car cover, and more..
ISSUES:
1- AC compressor was rebuilt, but still leaks... a charge lasts about 6 months.
2- a tiny weep from one of the power steering hoses.
I have relocated overseas and the car has been sitting in a friends garage in Ft Lauderdale Fl. He has all the documents to complete the sale. This is the cleanest 944 cab you will find, i bought it from a fellow rennlister " IZZY DOES IT" . Please search his posts, you will find pictures of the car as i bought it stock, and couple of nice DIY on the car...

been absent for a while so…
congratulations mark. again, wish i could be you when i grew up Maybe one day. Did you do any head work while you were in there?
congratulations AZ. i can so appreciate fabrication. and you really don't want to go into a car expense war due to outside influence war with me. I've got you by over a decade. LOL. and i went the low labor route and bought my HID kit pre made.
congratulations victor on pushing the limits. over all the years of me watching people boost this motor on stock/original parts 10lbs have always been the grenade point for one reason or another. Hope you found the solution!

no I didn't do any head work other than to have the head inspected to make sure it was straight. I would have loved to do a full head job but I am working on a very tight budget and couldn't afford to put the money in right now.
It is running well except yesterday discovered I am loosing coolant and I have to figure out why. I think it is coming out of the overflow hose after I park it as I saw small puddle under the car in my garage last night. it was just at MIN this morning and I topped it up. Relocated the overflow hose to the front where I will be able to easily see if that is where it is coming from. If thats the case I will try a new cap to start with and go from there. No signs of coolant in oil or oil in coolant and no smoke so I am hopeful that I didn't screw up the head gasket.

Finally got around to hard mounting the HID projectors ballasts.
Now I just need the plexiglass header panel/light cover combo and this project is done(so then I can jump into the Megasquirt conversion)

My S2 Cab update 3.0 16v Turbo
HI Guys, been playing with my cab for 10 years now, been thru a few changes, here it is today, plan was a factory look turbo.
Its:
Overbore Alusil cylinders
Woessner pistons, swain coated, ceramic tops
Woessner forged rods
55lbs injectors
3.8 bar FPR
Centreforce clutch
3" exhaust cat & 3 mufflers, subtle
Koni sports shocks, MO30 sways
Porsche 17" sports alloys 225/265
TO4B61 #10 hotside stage 5 wheel, 16psi boost
FMIC with 2.5" pipes
Modified S2 throttle body
standalone EMS
Lots and lots of custom parts
Very very fast and so nice to drive

holy resurrection batman! mike, its been a long time! always wondered how your car came along after the engine break. with all of it said and done, how do you still feel about the $$'s statement everyone makes for a s2/turbo conversion being cost preventive? back then, the LSxx swaps weren't talked about. would you do it all again?

Hi Culture, would do it again cos its been fun and this is a play car, but from a cost perspective would have stayed with my first version 7-8psi boost, stock internals, new head gasket, stock 951 inter-cooler & chip upgrade.
In this build happy with everything except with hindsight I wish I had gone with steel liners rather than Alusil, but its all a learning process.
I'm working on my 996tt at the moment so this one is stopped right now

Yep highly modified, its a S2 manifold 951 runners and S2 throttle body, took about 100 hours to build and refine, to get the smooth runners internally , port matching, as well make it look & fit great I did have a speedforce unit but looked too aftermarket for my goals
The FMIC is just a local 3" unit that would fit, I will monitor air input with my EMS from the FMIC but to be honest for my use its fine is only short pulls, the original 951 unit was ok too.
