Looking forward to seeing everyone at PVGP. I did this event for the first (and only) time in 2017, If you are new to the event I would have to say it is worth the trip. this is a MASSIVE event with thousands of cars to see over a period of days at multiple events, on the order of Amelia Island, etc.
If you're on instagram you can follow the antics of 928#1 at "928number1" I've moved a lot of my posting over there to continue my efforts to educate and promote the early (and special editions) 928s to a worldwide audience. IG, like every other social media site, is awash in BS. Its clumsy and limiting to use, and it will never replace these types of forums for technical expertise. I have made contact with a lot of very interesting people doing some incredible projects around the 928 from all over the world on IG though.. restorers, historians, old factory workers, etc. I have always thrived on connections in business or personal interests and I have found IG to be very good in this area.
I have put up a number of posts today running through the history of 928 #1 for the spectators at PVGP with such interests... See you in a few days!
It is truly our honor to have this incredibly special and important car to make an appearance here next week. I can't say enough how special I think this car is, in our world, and frankly, in the car world generally (although many others do not yet have that full appreciation).
