Note to self...don't post 10-day weather forecasts. Hoping the 7 day will be as unreliable.

The tech sessions for next weekend's 928 Frenzy are set:
Session #1 - Fuel Line Replacement - Stan & Sean
Under-hood fuels lines have been a topic of interest the past few years. Watch in awe as this tag team of mechanical experts demonstrates how to replace the old factory lines with new lines fabricated by Greg Brown.
Session #2 - Sunroof Adjustment - George Michaels
As with most of the systems on our beloved cars, the sunroof mechanism is clever and complicated. George will demystify the adjustment process and show us how to do it right.
Thank you Stan, Sean and George for volunteering to run tech for us this year!

Since I am going to be in my Explorer instead of the Red Witch, I am going to make the best of it.
I am coming loaded for bear with tools. I have seen in write-ups of past events, people have needed to do onsite repairs to their 928's.
I can help.
I will have:
-jack
-jack stands
-ramps
-common hand tools
-metric sockets
-metric wrenches: combination, line, ratcheting
-Allen wrenches and sockets
-breaker bar
-torque wrenches
-Porsche specific socket for wheel lugs
-electrical test equipment
-wiring repair equipment
-flash lights
-rags, gloves, trash bags, etc...
-DeOxit in two flavors
-good used 53B relays
-fuses
-laptop with Morehouse CD's on it
-anything else I can think of...
See you all then!

It's too bad that you can't come with the Red Witch this year.
Next year maybe.
That's really nice of you to offer to bring all those tools.
We never know what can happen with our old cars!
A big thanks to you Seth!

Please. I can barely afford one uber complex piece of German engineering, let alone two.
Betrand, my intent is to do EVERYTHING in the Red Witch next year!
You are quite welcome. I hope to pack the Explorer to the gills, and not need any of it. However, if a shark gets in a bind, I can help.

If anyone would be willing, and to keep me from packing tools, could someone bring these? Makes fuel line changing much easier.

I'm bringing flare wrenches and other tools and PB Blaster, rags, etc. ...the Wizard has offered remove the original and install my set of Greg's hoses. At the very least he will receive a couple two or three of my home-brewed libations (which local beer nerds have shown approval).

The crows foot that is important is the 19mm for the line coming off the fuel cooler. Easiest way to do it with a long extension and ratchet. There are other ways of course but a quick snap on the connector makes it come off easy. Seen too many rounded off when trying to put a 19mm wrench on a very tight, bad angled area. If no one has one I'll bring mine.
24mm wrench is for the damper line at the front.
Some Kroil helps on all of them, if you can pre-soak the line at the front passenger side this will help also. That's the one the flare wrenches help the most.
