I am soaking the grub screw in penetrating fluid now. Iis there anything else I should be aware of when trying to remove it beyond that in making sure the Allen key is fully inserted ? Carefully put some heat on it via blue torch maybe?

Hmmmm - the coupler is still stuck on. How much force should it take to remove?

Trying more heat and a whack load of penetrating fluid. (Whack load being a highly precise amount of course)

Still not budging, hit it with more heat yesterday and more PBlaster. Used a mirror to confirm that nothing is holding it in place. Ugh.

Decided to leave the couplerer for another day and made some progress on the cooling system. New thermostat, seal, and a nice and clean neck back installed.

Hi there-hope you are having a good week. I don't know what sort of super duper adhesive was used but something is holding that rear coupler on there totally tight.

Open for ideas on getting it off!

Got some good news this morning-both of my ECUs, the original one to the car and the one I picked up from that sad 928 being parted out near San Diego, appeared to be healthy.

Quick thank you to Olie at Welding Works for his help testing the ECUs.

Do I get any bonus points for today's longest run on sentence ?

Nope.
Some of us illiterates here do that all the time.

You need to step up to 'run on paragraph' to be considered.

I will take that as a challenge!

Hope you're having a good day.

Installed both new coolant hoses - by far the easiest thing on the entire to do so far.

Any yes, I am procrastinating on the rear coupler issue.

Installed the new injectors and reconnected the fuel rails.

Need to suck it up and get the old FI harness out of there and the new-old on installed this week.
