It was repainted, the owner probably decided to leave the wing off.
The steering wheel isn't stock. Perhaps the owner still has the original.

Nice find. He obviously invested good money updating this cosmetically which isn't cheap. If I were in the market for a replacement S4 auto, this would be high on my list!

The steering wheel looks like it is off a 993 RS and a Momo part for Porsche. I sold one off of my 1987 Targa for about $300 if I recall.

i tried to contact him to see if he was interested in trading for my VW Touareg V10. The value is about the same and he mentions that he needs an SUV. Never got a response

Saw a wingless black 928 GTS the other day at one of our club's shops- looks so much better without the wing! It was stunning. Amazing to me that you could have this car, or an entry level Hyundai. Perhaps a more fair comparison would be this car plus $10k in the bank for rainy day repairs and maintenance, or a new Civic. Hint: no one will ask you about your new Civic at stop lights.
