Congratulations Nate, and kudos to your wife for the support she gives you

I watched the start video and was cheering with you. I've felt the rollercoaster of emotions you've gone through, with quite a few cars, and I'm glad you've got the final reward for all your hard work and persistence ... feels good!

Oil gauge pegged, as others have noted, is normal. Actual pressure is actually about 8 bar when cold, but Porsche, for some reason, didn't put in a gauge that went that high.

Congrats again

Congrats, Nate! Did the same thing with my 84 many years ago during a head gasket replacement. But it's an awesome feeling when they come back to life

Congrats Nate! I remember the history of the car and auction when you bought it. Your perseverance finally paid off. I bet the old man who owned it before you is looking down and smiling to see his old love running again. I hope you have as much fun with it as I do mine. Bravo!

Nice work Nate, and your wife, too. Great thread, a classic...all similar threads should be put in a sticky location for shoppers (do you really wan to do this?) and new owners (you can do this!).

Great job, Nate. Just catching up some around here, nice to see you have your car running. Been a long time coming, for sure.

Congrats, on a job well done.

Brian.

Thanks for all the congrats again. I'm just happy I can add this car to the list of neglected 928s that a lot of others before me have also rescued. Those stories gave me confidence that this thing could be made to run.

After a lot of late nights I had to take a break from it yesterday. Today was fun to drive it around the block a little more. These cars feel much bigger on the road than they look from the outside. Super cool!
