My $1k928 is off to a full disassembly repaint, removing rub strips, and will be awesome.

But then I realized I'll be without a 928 for a month.

So I did some emotional retail therapy work.

Problem solved.

Would love to...but just need a simple cheap commuter on hand...after paint, the black car wont be out as much.

I know the feeling... I'd just do another bathroom remodel - NOT!

(I don't have any more bathrooms left... but thanks for hosting the 928 while the contractors were doing the dirty work)

Now you only need an Euro S engine! ;-)

That's what I'm doing.

Only my 81 will (and has been for a month due to gauge issues) be down when I regasket the engine and the S4 has taken its place.

So far it has worked well, only caveat is I can't drive the S4 as fast as the 81 lol.

Congrats on adding another 928 to the fold

I bought a 928 when my 944 was down for a new clutch.

My justification was that I would be saving all the money I would have spent for a rental to drive, while I saved even more money by doing the clutch myself.

Oh, the lies we tell ourselves.
