Question Transmission rebuild issue

Hi, I just started on rebuilding my auto transmission and I am stalled already. I purchased everything MB, gasket set, friction disk, steel, bands, piston... to find out that the MB gasket set 1262705300 doesn't seem to include the K1 and K2 hidden O-ring and rivet replacement screws. Anybody knows the O-ring and screws specs or number? I did RTFM and can't find the info

Thanks
Sylvain

I've seen it....giving others that have been down this path a chance to speak up.

Realistically, I can answer almost every question on this particular Forum. However, I try to only get involved when no one else can provide information, when ideas go wrong, or when things are just lies.

Gives everyone a chance to be involved and share what they have learned....better for the entire community.

Waiting for an answer from Mercedes. In the meantime, I will drill those rivets and measure the existing o-ring and groove and hope those o-ring are sold separately.

I would give Greg Brown a call and see if he can send you the correct parts, no need to guess
Try Precision motorsports in Anaheim CA

I've followed this list for many years and the number of listers who have dabbled with these units you can probably count on the fingers of one hand and still have spares left over to salute the plonker who wrecked the transmission in the first place [unless of course it has covered a zilion miles]. Thus why you are not going to get much in the way of input.

Much as we enjoy trying to help each other just about everyone knows squat about them other than MB made them and Porsche modified the valve body to their specification. Not the kind of thing your average DIY home mechanic wants to take on.

The good Doctor on the other hand is a one stop shop for matters of this nature and quite possibly as good as or better than anyone on the planet.

Fingers crossed for a successful outcome- you will get a lot of kudos if you succeed.

Thanks you all for the information. I'm trying to do it right. I bought new bearings, all clutch, steel, bands, new reaction valve. It already had the new piston, but the 126 277 05 38. So I got the 126 277 11 38. The carrier was already updated. new pressure regulator. Cleaning everything, checking all clearance, torquing to specs, oil and luge everything, ... As for the valve body, i'm looking at updating the b1 and b2 spring. I know it's my first transmission, but i'm very meticulous. Already resealed the engine last year, and it runs like a charm (1100km so far). And this year is the transmission.

Part of the fun is to work on these cars, and with the help of this great forum, I'm learn every day. A lot.

So thank you again for all your support.

I've got the same response as on the thread about the differential that failed from lack of lubricant.

Terrific that you've got this under control!
