I just hope I get my car sorted in time.
Having used Glympse for my first road trip to Frenzy last year, I have to say it is pretty awesome!

It would be great if all of the inbound folks to SITM were using it ... always fun to watch the Sharks converge

Anyone who is attending SITM and wants a GREAT drive, I recommend the 'Tail of the Dragon', but approach it from the TN side. I drove it last week on the way to a BMW event in Asheville NC, and really loved the sharp corners, steep road going up from TN. Frankly I found the NC side of the 'tail' pretty 'ho hum'. Enjoy it if you do, and keep the tires on the road surface. Lots of bikes, but whenever I caught up to one or a group of them, they were very courteous and pulled off to the side at the first opportunity and let me pass. The 20 year old BMW 840Ci loved those climbing curves.

Have a good time at SITM

Gary

Well it looks like the U-joint is worn as well. I knew I should have just done a complete R&R of the steering. Now I'm stuck, not sure if it's safe to drive it. It does drive ok and there doesn't seem to be any play in the steering, just a knock. FYI the knock is only when dry turning the wheel, at speed it is smooth and the wheel turns with every small input to the wheel. If I had not dry turned the wheel in my garage are probably would never have noticed.

I guess there is a chance that it could be my rack as well. Anyways I'm out of time, so it's risk it or stay home. ??????
