Are you giving away the interior quarter panels as well? And if so are they black leather by chance?

Nate,They are tannish. The color that kind of shows on the last pic. I thought I could use them to fix the warping on mine . But most likely they would go also. After looking at the panels, they are brown.

No worries. I am also going to need to replace my warped panels. Seems to be a pretty common theme.

Do you know if the panels are the same throughout all the years? Mine is an 88. These extra pieces came with the car and are not part of my car.

Is the rear hatch panel non-wiper by any chance?

Um. It's hard to beat free gentleman...
Why has no one jumped on this very generous offer?

The sword, I assume, is left handy to repel the barbarian hordes.

I'll take them. Let me know about the shipping cost.

Edit: Including the interior quarter panels if available.

Dave, so far I've been able to keep those pesky barbarians at bay. Who knew all you need is a fake sword to achieve that.

The shipping was way too much for these parts, but the generous offer was still too good to pass up. So, I finally got to drive my trusty F250 to Spokane and picked them up. Doug V. was very generous in this deal and even included several more 928 parts when I got there to pick it all up.

The trip was just over a thousand miles each way, but the speed limits in nearly all the inbetween states was 80, so with squeezing a little more out of it I was able to drive the 1000 miles Friday in 13 hours. I wasn't so fortunate on the return trip yesterday since before I got 30 miles into it, starting at about noon my time, I got caught in a highway closure caused by some kind of crash on I90. That had me locked in line with hundreds of others for 3 hours. However, when it finally opened up and I got going I was able to drive nearly all night and get home at about 5 am. Not counting the delay, but including some fuel and food stops I was only 14 hours traveling.

Doug gave me a couple of broken late 928 Auto Trans T-handles, so during some of the delay I was able to take one of them apart and study it some. That gave me food for some design thought which I put to good use in the first 500 miles of the return trip figuring out just how I could make some replications of those, similar to what I am doing with the rubber compound for the Manual Shift *****.

After I got a few hours sleep this morning I did some further work on the T-handle design and started some of the mold components out in the shop. I think I'm going to have to have the guys in the machine shop quote me some CNC milled or turned or both components to incorporate into the redesign, but I think that will make these impervious to failure.

I'll post some more about this in my thread on the *****.

Anyway, a big thanks to Doug for the parts, and it was great to meet another Rennlister in real life. I think he is a great guy.

Thanks, Seth. Did you get your parts? They were supposed to be there yesterday, but if not, then for sure tomorrow.

Hi Jerry!

Oh yeah, they came Saturday. I was super extra excited!

However, I worked 12 hour shifts this weekend, and did not have time to look at them. Will do so after work this morning.

Thanks!
