Default Who has rare colors?

Just going through the 928 Registry and black, white and red are by far most common. Who has rare colors out there? My car originally was platinum metallic, but orig owner unfortunately had it changed to Grand Prix white in mid 90s.

worf and Schocki havean amazon green 928s.
Tom Falkenberg has adark burgundy one (amethyst metallic).
Stan Kolen probably has the most unique one - it's pearl ivory (canary yellow) metallic with pearl grey all leather interior.
Jim Bailey has a very, very brown 928.
Then there is the full custom 928 with Chevy engine in Mini orange metallic...

Great story, Sterling! Who would have thought that brown could ever be so rare - just a few years earlier they made gazillions of brown ones. In fact, my first ever ride in a 928 was in a brown metallic 1983 Euro S pre-production model (the photo car for the German 1983 brochure).

As far as I can tell I have the only Amazon Green with Cashmere GTS in the US all the others appear to have gray interior. I think they only made 9 GTS's for the US in this color so I guess that is rare. I have no idea how many were made in other models or for the ROW in this color.

I have L999, colour to customers sample! Its a metallic black/dark grey. I wish I knew what is actually was. My interior is VN, which I also believe was a custom specification.

Many colors are rare in US like Amethyst metallic but much more common in ROW models. Then there are ones like Tahoe blue which is really rare everywhere. Reason is probably that is came available in middle of '90 model year and wasn't included in normal brochure at beginning of '91 MY like some other colors (Amethyst metallic, Oak and Amazon green metallics for example) which were introduced at same time. Even rarer are Signal and Mint greens. Has anyone ever seen 928 with either of these? They are so ugly no one got those, not even wild Germans except possibly one Signal green GTS.

RPM has a signal green 94 turbo. He is asking a fortune for it and I don't see how anyone would want that car. Looks like someone got sick all over the poor thing.

Another point why US cars ae rare in the special order colors. I learned this when doing research on my Cobalt Blue turbo. Apparently special order colors had to be ordered by a customer and the dealer could not order these cars without a committed buyer. Since these cars were so expensive not many were ordered and the dealers ordered from the standard colors.

I've never heard this before. I hope it's true but I'm not sure I want to test it personally.

I've got the only full mahogany colored interior I've ever seen, so it's a somewhat rare interior color. There was a brown S4 at SITM '06 that had mahogany and linen two-tone, but that's the only other example I've seen. Anyone?

My personal favorite is Espresso Brown that came on a few of the '88s. My next favorite is Velvet Red Metallic that was on the '89-'90s.
