Put an order in a month ago and have not heard back from Woodypeck. Nothing back from emails either.

Anyone know if Steve Jones is still in business??

Same with me. Try hitting him up on his Facebook feed, I had good luck there. Steve told me he travels a lot and that makes it hard to follow up sometimes.

While I appreciate Steve's efforts in supporting the 929 with really cool new products, I haven't been very happy with any of the LED's sourced from Woodypeck.

The interior bulbs were all too blue and bright and made the cabin feel harsh.. Same with the license plate bulbs. They were so bright that they case a very visible shadow on the ground. It looked a little silly.

I have since replaced the above with warm white from www.superbrightled.com. I was able to order a variety of intensities and colors and easily return the ones I did not need.

The Woodypeck L3 LED's for the fog and aux lights are not bright enough to be useful and have that really silly blue color and one of the fogs is Burt out after 1 year.

The front blinker lights double flashed and I could not get Steve to accept a return or credit my order.

The LED market is changing rapidly and amazing technology is coming out every day. The products Steve picked out were probably very good when he sourced them, but now there are so many more options to get the exact solutions each of us are looking for.

I have H3's in my fog lamps from Woodypeck. Took about a month to come. I would agree the light is not bright enough to make them useful as fog lights. I use the fogs as DRL's though so ok for that. Agree also they're very blue.

I'm glad I didn't get the headlights as well as I do have concerns about brightness.

Thank you for the replies Gentlemen. I did order the Interior lights and complete rear lights thru Superbright so we'll see how that turns out.

Will followup once I install the LED headlights from Woodypeck on the brightness comments.

Hey 928S MN...I did LED headlamps using these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/252295580117

I have H4 lamps and they do a great job of brightening things up. make sure you have them oriented correctly...the little shade part over one of the LED's goes bottom, facing up...I had mine on wrong and lit up the roadway great but not great as high beams till I got them turned around...and the instructions for demonstrating that correctly essentially aren't there..I think one tiny pic shows the correct orientation.

No fans for these (5th generation). The only issue is I have LED fog lights and with then on and headlights...for some reason that activates the high beam...I can have fogs on by themselves but headlights mean fogs off unless you have highbeams on. Wierd I know but these things work really well.. I'm very happy with them other that what I just mentioned.

there is a good thread on H4 headlamps here: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...headlamps.html

I just installed them this evening and they are very bright indeed. Need to tune the adjustment before making final comments.

I ordered a complete luggage cover + net from Woodypeck.com a month ago. Received a order confirmation. The site says: "order processing."
No reply from mail, no delivery.
Think he is out of businesss, money gone. No luggage cover until now.
Maybe there will be a delivery in the far future. For now all my hope is gone.

There is a relay that toggles to cut power to the fog lights when you turn on the high beams (in principle, you wouldn't need high-beams and fog lights simultaneously) and this relay probably needs a certain amount of resistance to pick, but because you've installed LED fogs without any resistors, those bullbs aren't supplying enough resistance back to that relay, which is causing the issue you describe of the high beams being activated when both the headlights and the LED fog lights are turned on.

This issue is covered in-depth and resolved here:
https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...led-bulbs.html.

No resistors needed, just replace the fog relay with a standard one.

Hmm, aren't the bases keyed such that the assembly only fits one way?
