Are you sure you removed all the motor mount bolts?

I'd forgotten once about the one on the driver side closest to the sway bar.

I removed 4 bolts from mounts in accordance with the instructions. Are there more to remove?

did you remove the two bolts at the transaxle that allow the transaxle to slide away from the engine...which will allow the bell housing pins the space it needs to uncouple from the engine

Never had to remove anything at the back by trans Axel, did you remove the Front wire Harness from the Cross member (big red wire) it goes through a wire loop.

Some remove the #10 bolt for it, I just remove the Black rubber sleeve and pass it through the loop, then using a stiff wire to pull it back through during assembling

I did not pull that wire. The guidance only pointed to the harness in the footwell. I'll add that to the list to remove Thursday

Still getting hung up somewhere. It doesn't seem to want to separate at the bellhousing. I removed all bolts from mounts and the red wire from cross member. Any additional recommendations?

Have you pushed the transmission as far back as it will go? You should be able to get a prybar between the bellhousing and block to get it off the locating pins.

if you cant separate the bell housing from the engine by removing the two bolts at the transaxel and sliding the transaxel back 1/2 inch...then you have removed the wrong two bolts. p.s you have to remove them...not just loosen them.

Just installed one last weekend...

Place a floor or bottle jack under upper bell near the TT, raise the TT&Bell until it touches the tunnel.
Make sure that the two (no longer used) sensor pickups that are attached tho the Flywheel are down at 6:00 position by rotating the Crank (clockwise from front of engine) so they clear the Bell housing.

Lift the Engine up and off the MM's and pull it forward and away form the Upper bell.
