Default restoring intakes

They are out of the car and peeling. Is there an opinion (dumb question!) about what color to refinish them with? Keep it stock? I'm thinking a light charcoal grey with red lettering. The car is guards red with grey/white interior. Thoughts?

Also, skimming the Show us under your hood! thread will give you plenty of examples to ponder.

Here is a picture of mine powder coated in Anthracite with black and burgundy lettering

Like many have said, it's critical to make sure the intake is super clean inside before installing.

I media blasted mine and hand polished mine...great results, and I would never do it again!

I redid mine stock, worried that as 928s further enter "vintage" territory, a non-stock appearance will more likely be a negative than a positive to a buyer. I blew it on the re-plating, though, getting silver by mistake - but I like it.

Here is one I just had done in a "liquid Metal" look PC, I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

Heed all of the warnings about getting the inside fully cleaned out from any blast media, etc. There have been some real horror stories that have occurred if you don't.
