Custom Lifetime 928 Motor Mounts by Hans
Well my care package from Hans got here and I was really surprised to see how nice these parts are.
I used blue loctite to secure all of the hardware to the machined parts.
These new custom lifetime motor mounts that Hans has taken the time to design for our machines.
They feature a design that's rebuild able, this means the isolators can be changed out for different durometers or the same fitted.
They look like jewelry , all of the fine machining that's been done,
and they fit perfectly.
The following pictures document the ease of installation,
and the engine height looks good.
Thanks Hans for your dedication to making great parts for our cars.
Installation is straight forward put the mounts together use locitite on the screwed in parts.
secure the top nut to the mount hat,
leave the lower nut about 1 turn loose and put in the crossmember it fits like a glove.
Road test to follow.

very nice. Do you think there would be any more longevity gained by ceramic coating the aluminum casing for heat reflection? just a thought?

These have been clear anodized to keep the threads nice a clean for easy service over a liftetime of use. They could be coated below the threads of the man body, but it should not be necessary. The urethane is shielded from the elements, and because it is coupled to the crossmember, there is a large heatsink if the housing gets overheated from headers or some other non-stock complication. They are much smaller in OD than the factory part, so are farther away from radiant heat sources.

These should be available through several Rennlist sponsors shortly. Price from the first batch is slated to be $425 in either 70D or 80D durometer (latter suggested for track use only). There will be an official product announcement in the next week or so.
I am unable to share exact details as I am not currently a site sponsor.

They certainly look great, with an innovative approach.
Looking forward to driving impressions from Stan.

With these mounts you should powdercoat the hats.

I have been running a set of early prototype Hans mounts for 2 1/2 years. These were installed by Mrmerlin in my '83 Euro S. They are great in the sense that I never worry or even have to think about them. I should ask Hans how long he expects the durometer to last before needing to be replaced?
