Default Injector Harness

So I've been encountering some issues that have caused the engine to quit and stranding me a couple of times. I know the condition of the car because i have spent the last three years making sure its reliable (everything is new).

That said, it was clear my injectors were not firing.

So with Colin's suggestion that, I should just replace all eight injector plugs, here is what I found. You can see in the photo what was underneath where I striped back the wire covers.

Mine were in a similar condition when I took them out. Add a bit more corrosion tho!

I cut cut back about 6 inches of wire to where it looked in decent condition, cleaned the end of the existing wire with flux to get rid of as much corrosion as possible and soldered the new connectors and wire in. Solved my no start condition.

Roger is defiantly an option for original looking clips.

Because the CDN $ sucks, I had to go a little cheaper route, at 6.50 each.

A quick search for Bosch EV1-style connectors brings up a set of 8 adapters that support Delphi harness connections to our Bosch EV1 injectors. Cut off the Delphi end of the connector and you have 8 pigtails for under US$20.

Look here on Amazon. I haven't tried them, just passing along what I found.

-----

Looking at how crispy some injection harnesses are getting, I'd be thinking seriously about replacing the whole harness before I bothered patching more than a few individual injector cables. The ends of those cables don't see a whole lot more abuse than the rest, making "just connector" replacement a band-aid over an impending fracture. In my opinion anyway. Too much risk of getting stranded, and by something that's been identified as a looming (sorry...) problem.
