Greg Brown makes them, and they could be considered artwork! I know a few others did as well. Might want to start another thread asking if anyone has any for sale or call Greg Monday morning.

Hahaha...so true. We already know how the car will turn out. Seeing the skills of other owners is one of the coolest things about owning a 928 and being on Rennlist... so many great efforts that would be great magazine article material.

Thank's ya'll for the good and kind words! I too have enjoyed this project! Currently, the Dolly only has on it the Block, which is junk, #1 cylinder is cracked big time.

As you can see, #1 is kaput! And, the reason I was getting 10psi on #1 checking compression, and 300 psi on #2 as the head gaskets were blown big time...just imagine the mess this failure made on every system!

To bad about the motor as that car looks pretty nice for something left out like that.

300 psig on number two?

Any idea why number 1 failed like that? Obviously a seizure for some reason.

Not sure. Head gaskets had many failed sections. Not sure if it was hydro locked and it blew the cylinder out.

Looks like that piston has been hammered by something bouncing around in the cylinder. Maybe the squashing of that projectile between the piston top and head pushed the wall out. What did the head look like?
