As for reading skills, I seem to be the only one that can see post #3. Does it not appear on your screen? That's a dirty-dog shame.

Yes, I am having fun baiting all the fan-boys. Any critical statement about the 928, or it's value, or history, or anything related to 928s which is not respectful is grounds for tar and feathers. How will I sleep tonight?
No pint for you! But I know you're having fun and so am I, I just have this strange imagination...

Samuel,

I have seen Derek's white car - it had no stickers anymore, but you could tell that once they were there as there was a slight difference in the white paintwork. The car is definitely still alive, but I am not sure if it has changed hands since then. I can put you in touch with the then owner if you want? He is the ex-owner of the Jeremy Clarkson's video midnight blue GTS 5-spd, which burned down and I bought the engine for my race car.

Derek and I had a nice chat about his 928CS back in 2002 after the World Challenge GT race. Remember, he signed the nose of the Holbert 928 after he nudged me after I got spun out by the typeR mustang.

such a great shot! thanks for posting. Makes me sad to think about the Holbert 928 car had intimate interactions with all three of these drivers.
Driven by Al Holbert
Hit by Derek bell
Passed by Hans Stuck.

Actually Mark what is says it Your Holbert car with it's Actual record time run Bonneville history and special preproduction status is probably worth $$$$$$$, like way more than the car being discussed. At least in original condition it was. But your memories of racing it are PRICELESS !!

That's 374,035 CA$!

That's A LOT of $ for a 928.
I understand that this one is no ordinary 928 but...

Interesting.

The Holbert car was a one of one hand built preproduction S-4 with quite a history not one of 4 or 7 STREET Driven cars with no competition history. Plus it ran hotrod camshafts too !! Just saying
