Replacing the pan gasket is a fairly major task involving jacking up the engine and removing the support crossmember. So, Stan won't be performing an actual gasket replacement at the Frenzy. However, he will be explaining the procedure in detail and providing some helpful pointers so you can get it right the first time.
Stan can do mine...I can bring the engine jack

I would like to know how he replaces the OPG without dropping the cross member. That's a real magic trick.

But this time the magician tells us how he does it.

Hmm....I'll be waiting for the moment Stan strikes that pose in front of the car.

When the trick was revealed to Dr. Bob, he was moved to exclaim "I, Dr. Bob - genius - never thought of this."

Tested the tentative 928 Frenzy #20 Fun Run route in my S4 this morning. It was fantastic. Pretty much every mile of the run is on a Virginia Scenic Byway. This is what we will be driving through for the entire Fun Run on our way to Lovettsville Oktoberfest. Of course, this was a good shake down run for my 928, which hasn't been out of the garage since early July.

Now sitting down to make some progress on the final Fun Run map, including all the meeting/regrouping points.

After attending Summitpoint on Sunday, is anyone heading back toward the host hotel ? If so, I'd like to bum a ride. I'll be flying out early on Mon morning. TIA Tony

Beautiful!

Thanks for putting this up Jon.

It's because of people like Greg, you and many others I'm sure that this event is such a success!

Can't wait to see you all in September.

Tony,

We've got 18 people signed up for the run to Summit Point already, and more to come, I'm sure. I guess the word has gotten around about how fun the parade laps are! I will be heading back by the Holiday Inn after Summit Point, but I already plan to have a passenger with me. Hopefully someone else will have a seat to offer you, but if need be, we can squeeze 3 into my 928.

Default Franklin Park

Since the Saturday events for this year’s Frenzy are taking place in Franklin Park, it’s sure to be a family-friendly environment. So, this would be a great time to bring along your spouse, kids, friend, baseball glove, frisbee, etc.

Within a 5 minute walk of the Frenzy parking area you will find two small lakes, large open fields, and a very nice playground. The pool will be closed, but that’s alright. It gives us a wide open parking lot to park our 928s. It should make for a very nice group photo.

As it is a county park, they have posted a “no alcoholic beverages” policy that we will need to be respectful of. I figured this will not be a problem since we will have had plenty of opportunity on Friday evening to imbibe to our heart’s content at the Holiday Inn!

As far as food and drink for Saturday, here are the plans:
For breakfast, there will be coffee, donuts and juice.
For lunch, an assortment of subs and cookies will be brought in from a nearby Jersey Mike’s, along with chips, soda and water.
