Sort of relevant to this thread .
Ford in Europe are developing a high power version of the
three cylinder, 1 litre ECOBoost engine which has sequential turbochargers.
The first one is spun up by an electric
motor to give boost at low revs and cut lag then once revs
rise the second turbo feeds in.
This light and tiny engine produces 177 hp from 1 litre.
Isn't technology wonderful.
Also this engine is going to be available in family cars
in the UK very soon so supercharging using electric motors
is already quite mainstream.

valeo are the leading electric supercharger manufacturers in europe/uk they've tested units in ford/nissan/renault and vw-audi. most of the next gen cars plan to use it and its use is being written in to grp a,n and national class m sport development specs apparently. saw a proposed electric anti lag system set up recently looked nice but car wasn't running so chance to see it in action. they would make good leaf blowers.

The viideo was pretty funny though, and too bad they didnt have an actual eRAM to test.

Spinning up a turbo to reduce lag is quiet different than an actual electric supercharge.

Wait a minute.

The 928 turbo guru's tell me there is no more turbo lag.

Someone needs to get Ford in this forum so they can learn the secrets.
