New Koni shocks. Double thumbs up.
What a transformation from the old tired boges. I'm utterly amazed at how much better the car tracks, corners, handles bumps etc.
Can't believe I waited so long to do this job.

On my 87 S4:
I have tried worn out boge's, stock springs
New boge's/stock springs
New boge's with Eibach's
and now stock springs with Koni's (red, internally adjustable).
I have the Koni's set right about midway in damping, and I have to say, this is my favorite set-up (stock springs, Koni Reds middle rebound setting) of the three I have tried on a street driven 928.
It just works for me without a doubt. It is such a vast improvement over stock boge's, its worth every penny at this low $660 price point.
I have them on my 85 now too, and love them on that car with stock springs as well.

Hey, I had planned on the upgrade at some point, I gotta look at those.
Here's a question for everyone: I had the "sport" suspension on mine from factory. My assumption was the only difference was the red Boges? Was anything else different?
Curious...sorry for the hijack

I have Konis set midway with stock springs on the Stepson and the 89
I have Konis set on full soft with Eibachs on the GTS.
Different rides, but I like them both.

am seeing a consistent $155 per corner plus free ship Can 928sRus match that?
And as you are in TX tax would also apply.

Former Vendor
If you hunt long enough, on the Internet, it is always possible to find someone who is willing to make a tiny profit margin on some item and thus allow you to get it cheaper....it's what makes the Internet great....and terrible.
However, $40 savings on the shocks, no shipping, and not having to pay Texas tax....probably a $100 savings, at least!
That's a big percentage....but I wonder what happens when something goes wrong....like you get a shock that goes bad (it happens.)
Roger impresses me as someone who goes beyond the norm to having his customer's backs. That is certainly worth something....I wonder how much?
