Over what hurty feelers? I am not the one that plays internet tough guy all day long due to some inferiority complex. Just point out an opportunity for you to do what you do best on Rennlist. BTW, have you contributed anything financially to Rennlist as you have advocated so keenly to others?

To be fair, defending oneself against a new wave of uncalled for insults is not beating the dead horse. It is just poor taste for these tag teaming strangers of the event coming in with sole intent to stomp on the repenting Kibort. As I said, Mark goofed, and apologized for it. Everyone should just let it go. But no, these guys feel that they need to come in to perpetuate the beatings and turn this into a lynching party. After all, has Mark really done anything so terrible that deserves a complete public beat down and then get salt poured on? Let's stop this kind of culture on this site.

Randy, i do have a thick skin and can defend myself, but Steve has a good point and i appreciate his message.
This place would be so much nicer if the piling on effect was not seen as much, or at all. Doesn't Steve come across as a good guy in general. We all should take a lesson.

Randy V,
No one stalks you but you are always so conspicuously sticking out with your contemptuous attitudes towards others. You repeatedly use tasteless rhetoric such as "short bus riders", in reference to the unfortunate physically and/or mentally disabled, to mock others. After seeing so many such posts from you, it registered. I bet one can do a forum search of "short bus" and many if not most are from you.
As far as being the "sheriff", I don't go around searching for posts to ridicule others like you have ALWAYS felt so inclined to do. That's your game, Sheriff Randy. I called you out since I was part of this event and felt that Mark was already reprimanded heavily and certainly he does not need more cheap shots from anyone and certainly NOT from you.

Who really has a dog in this hunt? Woops! Poor analogy. Anyway, whether the burnout spooked the dog or just all the exhaust noise of the engine revving, like a number of people did, I don't know. The little thing was quite spooked and I was worried that no matter how much Mark slowed down after seeing that, the dog was in real danger of getting under some car's wheels. Some other traffic appeared on the road as the dog continued to scamper back and forth across the road and the owner was unable to corral him/her for a couple of minutes. I was a bit tense watching this. I may have initially thought it was OK to do the burnout and said so. I'm not sure. I don't remember if I said anything. If I did, then I contributed to what proved to be bad judgement. As many know, I used to do my share of burnouts when my car was juiced, although on wide avenues in industrial neighborhoods (outside 928 International during Sharktoberfest). And we used to do a funride at SITP that definitely involved breaking speed and safety laws with me in the lead. We even had one unfortunate off-road incident years back with kids in that car that could have had a terrible outcome. I've been on a number of funrides at Sharktoberfest that included similar abuses of speed and safety laws. So many, many of us 928 owners have displayed less than sterling judgement on public roads. I've never heard any specific objections or complaints, although I'm sure some in the community may have felt that this was not good behavior. I've always had mixed feelings about this when asked. I've done it, but when someone else asked me how they should conduct funrides, I was much more cautious in my advice. It's an interesting psychology. We have these powerful cars that are capable of high performance and for many of us, taking the chance to explore that becomes irresistible. Had there been no dog running around, I doubt anyone would have made any comment about this. The dog could have been hurt, the park police could have appeared and possibly had us banned from future events in the park. That didn't happen, but the points are valid. Rather than beating on Mark any more or other people fighting among themselves here, it would be better to start some general discussion elsewhere about the behavior of high performance car owners relative to speed and safety laws.
