Mark- please don't respond, let it go. You screwed up. Dog or no dog, the donuts were at the wrong place at the wrong time. The straight line launch was somewhat ok, but the donuts absolutely not. It's a nice event in a great setting, hope we can go back. Bill and others have put in a lot of work to make this a fun time. Done.

We ALL revved our engines.

You decided to do donuts and some RPM passes with your race track exhaust in a nice quiet (busy) public park. Sure, there's a place for that..being what/who we are. But discretion says..maybe once. Twice is pushing it...and then..

...you caused a park visitor to call the police after puling a speedy donut on top of her. You initiated this from within the lined parking area while she was on the sidewalk ****ing beside you, you oblivious ****. We talked her down, she was ****ing dialing the cops. You ignored her. The rest of us halted traffic for 5min while we helped calm her dog down from running into the woods.

If the cops came, we all would have had to suffer because of you, and not only are you backtracking on your remorse and apology, you're making a mockery of us silently accepting it.

I was gracious in accepting you meant it when you said you were sorry, and when further confronted a little tougher by Jheis, I stepped in to say it wasn't "all that"...and suggested we all learned something, and it wont happen again. Now you want to beat on me, for standing up for your apology after Jheis's post..and Charlie suggesting as well that maybe he was a little over the top...you want to throw knives at me, and by association Charlie I suppose too?

Now your reply to me is you believe I'm _offended_, and all you did was rev your engine?

?
Well, jeff , we see the event differently. 5 mins?? donuts? And i misunderstood your "all that" comment.. sorry for that.

anyway, i was there to help slow traffic too. I was right there when she got the dog to stop and get near the plate of food. told her sorry. I never saw you .

stop exaggerating. its such BS!! it ws a burn out. there was no "donut" . the marks are there to prove it'! And im seriously sorry for doing it, and please accept my appology to you and the group its over. wont happen again. let it go!

There was no donut. Mark did a U-Turn with burn out. He goofed and he apologized for that. Please all take a deep breath and have a group hug. I will see the happy group next year hopefully.

I did not remember seeing you there. What took you so long to finally join the party, Randy V? BTW, there are 2 posts in the Random Picture thread without pictures so to alert you.

Just a reminder--

The Wingnut Award is a Good Thing, shared with those who exemplify the spirit of fellowship and support in the community.

Please don't demean the Wingnut Award by associating it in any way with a known scofflaw.

"Dr" Bob.... Let me remind you. Again, minus my 1 min of lack of judgment at the event , i would like to ask YOU how many engines have you built for free for fellow 928ers to enable their racing or street activities? How many 100s of hours have you helped "fellow" 928'ers build their race cars or fix their street cars. (again , for free)

I don't know if i have as many hours as Bill donated to those on this list and community, but certainly more than you or most anyone on this list. So, before you start judging anyone for spirit of fellowship, friendship and support, you better look in the mirror to see if your put downs are to make you feel better about your own deficiencies.

Those that know me, and have received my help, advice or support, know that i give it, without the expectation of anything in return, other than to know that the fellow 928 owner now is a friend, is happy, and their car is running well.
More importantly, i appreciate those that have given me the help and support along the way to help keep mine on the street and on the track!

I am gently reminding folks about the Wingnut Award, to make sure the award and its original intent are not diluted or distorted.

It is not being given to you, so rest easy.

Lets think about this for a second....... or do we need to? you always drive 55mph and not a mile per hour over.. full stop at stop signs...... even avoid rapid acceleration on the highways? so, why is it you own a 928 anyway? why not just buy a prius?? Most of us are Scofflaws, just to different degrees. All of us tend to bend the law and justify it to suit our needs. if not, why buy a car that does 180mph, if you never drive a mile per hour over 70mph. Im one of the few that does less of this, and takes it to the track to get my fill . so, what do you a stroker for? what do you need big brakes and suspension kits for?? I think most in this community are scofflaws by definition, but we are more of a mature bunch compared to most other marquee followings.
Personally, i dont think doing a 30mph burnout is dangerous, nor a very slow sliding U turn. the same thing happens in chicago in winter , on most every straightaway or U turn from a stop light in a car with street tires on it.
in my case, it was a little noisier...... However, as i said, i regret doing it and wont do it again at a 928 event.

Bob, any more name calling?

I'm not doing it, however, i am making the mistake of responding to the "name callers". Why not stand up for the BS that has made this go on for 4 pages now. I apologized... owned up to the mistake.. why does anyone not stand up against the name calling... its so Juvenile

Thanks Steve and Charlie for the comments earlier. It didnt go unoticed. Pure class.
