I bought a noid tester today and I have tested the injector plugs 2 were not good so I replaced them with good ones. I also sprayed carb cleaner in the intake and had engine cranking but it didn't run it fired but no start. Any one else heard of the flywheel being different?.

I'm not guessing....you don't need a survey.

The two sets of counting teeth are completely different.

An '85/'86 injection system isn't going to run on an S4 flywheel, if that is what you are trying to do.

I am just wondering why the 89 harness wouldn't work I had bypassed the Ims relay and couldn't get it to fire?

Because you didn't rewire your CE panel and do the necessary conversion. That's why we said you needed the wiring diagrams from the WSM.

I have the wiring diagram but I am not sure what had to be changed to the harness.

basically, you needed to lay both diagrams side by side, and marks every single change in wiring. Total pain in the ***, but doable. i did that for swapping a S4 headlight motor and relay in to my 81.

Gah! I presumed you were using the 89 flex plate in the car all along. Then you switched back to the 86 harness and modules. Oye vey.

It is the 89 flywheel that is on the engine. I have to change to86 to get it to run.
