Don't forget the visual appeal of older cars as well. To me, modern cars (including and especially Porsches) are largely characterless and visually ungainly. Porsche can try all they want with vintage interior plaid patterns, 930 interior packages, 21" Fuchs wheels, etc., but the era of the 930, 928, and 944 will never be matched when it comes to style.

It depends on what one means by "parked in a garage." It might be driven a few thousand miles a year, which honestly is all the use that most new 911s get anyway.

I think much love was put into making the seat covers. Love that only the current owner and his wife can and will appreciate.

A 3 year old unmodified base Corvette will outperform a Ferrari Testarossa and a Lamborghini Countach in every regard: way faster, more powerful, better handling, more comfort...all with the Bose sound system and the AC on.
Not sure if it will ever be as iconic or as collectable as the Ferrari or Lambo....

They'd be kind of cool if they actually fit.

Something is wrong into the collectors world.

It's the second to last manual 928.

The last one is 00446. It may belongs to a friend of mine.

Hm- this was listed at $15K and got no bids, now relisted at $13k. I can see some factors, but for a late Euro I'm surprised that it isn't getting interest/commanding a higher value. BTW, no affiliation, the gold car in my avatar is/was '83 Euro 5 spd. Maybe that shapes my bias.

That car has been for sale in Pittsburgh for years. It was stored for a longtime. The lady selling it is the daughter of the owner, who I think died. She is bat shyte crazy. I went to see the car years back, asked a few typical 928 questions, and she banned me from buying it. I sent a friend to do my bidding then, as a straw man, and she ended up banning him too. She recently had it up for sale on craigslist, and another guy I knew tried to get info on it, and she banned him too. The seller is nuts. Who knows if the car runs.
