For any of you guys looking for an early one for a good price. This one looks like it has a lot of potential.

I pass this car on a daily basis. If anyone is seriously interested and wants me to do a quick once-over, PM me. For someone seriously interested, I suggest reaching out to Kevin Lacy to see if he's available for a PPI. He's in the general area and he knows a ton about OB fuel systems.

[QUOTE=Mikebte;15265433]Posted for you Tony. Only major issue i'm having is do I keep the tools in the kit? If I don't than I am not an official previous 928 owner.
I don't think I can explain enough to the new owner how hard that screw driver was to locate.

Ahh..posted for you Mike, your the one selling the car^^ Appears to be a nice, complete OB. GLWTS T

Well, it may be around for the winter. The auction closes this evening and there are no bids. I thought it was a fair offering price but who knows. I need to get that starter replaced though, I shouldn't have been lazy and gotten that taken care of first.

Not sure why I don't think of this as a place to sell a car, buy as a place to descus the cars for sale. Thanks Tony

Not much to recommend this one but it does seem to be a 5sp and it doesn't look trashed. Is there an engine in it or are the 19s just messing with the perspective?

What I see: not much -- it has rust on pass rear qtr, maybe under driver door as well. He had the hood up, but no pics of engine bay, so no positives there for us to see. It is sitting high, could that be b/c the wheels are recently installed? Could be new rubber too, but of course no details on anything interior or mechanical. Maybe he can "sell" with details in person.

I dunno about that, but they have no qualms about three listings with the same VIN number.

Very nice looking 89 5-speed S4 on BaT today. Baltic Blue over Linen. 55K miles. It was sold on BaT 2 years ago at $35K. Only 800 miles added. This will be a nice gauge on how much the market has moved on nice 928s. I predict $42-$45K.

I can agree, That is a great gauge on the market. I find it hard to believe how visual the inflation of the 928 has been as of late.
Its at 20K with 7 days to go.

In accordance with Hagerty

And the search facility cannot be trusted. I did a VIN search for this one ...

... and the first auction didn't show up even with a copy and paste of the VIN from the first auction.

Weird.

What a stunning car!

Does anyone know why color code 37B 9 7 is known as both Baltic Blue and Taubenblau (Dove Blue) on this car?

Mine only lists Taubenblau.

Hmmm....I'm going to be in Michigan this weekend to pick up the red '80 I bought on BaT this week. Since I already have a 81, and now a 80, maybe I need a 79 next! I might just need to check this one out....
