Wow, that was big money back in 2008. I got my GT also in 2008 for almost a third less than that with only 55k miles, and I thought I paid a premium back then.

The rear flared quarters was correct and the other information/history. Who got it??

WARNING: Stopped by to look at this car in Milwaukee while on a college road trip with my son. Looked and drove like a great car with quite a bit of recent maintenance. Clean current WI title, but the carfax showed a WI salvage title from 1994 that never had carried forward. Seems to have been washed by a dealer back in the day. NMVTIS showed nothing. Found some very poor chassis repair (popcorn welding holding a patch on the rail just forward of the lower control arm and some cracked metal at the bottom of the radiator and more hack welding. Be aware if you are thinking about. Could still be of interest if you want to fix the crappy welding. Seller didn't seem to know any of this but does now. He is willing to accept much lower than his asking. I passsd at $6700.

Thanks for the heads up Dennis. Would be great for someone interested in a car to just drive the heck out of it or a track car and not worry about resell value or collectibility. 86 or 86.5? Decent interior. <$7000 for a 5 spd 86? Even better if 86.5.

Hi - yes, I forgot to mention. 86.5 5-speed, one of the last 30 or so. Very good interior, near perfect dash, good paint and body. Also has a recent clutch, timing belt, intake reseal, new tires, fuel hoses, etc. If I didn't have so many fun cars right now, I would have bought it to just drive the snot out of it. So, if someone wants a fun (maybe the most fun) 928 to drive with abandon, this could offer a pretty high smile to dollar ratio.

Great! Glad it's in good hands. How far from Saratoga are you? You'll want to post a good introduction to yourself and your car in a new thread. With pictures (of the car) (I think you have be a paid member). You'll be wise to put a jump post cover on it first, or shoot carefully.

You are now eligible to attend Camp 928 (see below). If you are close, come on up anytime and we'll discuss your car.

Well the car is in my garage but belongs to my brother. I am in Glens Falls and since it was so close I took it to get it in shape but am limited to what I can do to an extent. TB/WP I am not doing myself- I can do it, but I would want to take my time and clean things as I go, more like a winter project. He will probably join once he receives it back in a couple more weeks, and see this post as I already discussed with him. I will pass your invite to him. He is a couple hours away from me, and comes up on Sundays.

Low mile 85 Euro, 5spd near Boston. Dunkenblau ? Porsche scripted seats, etc. I requested engine bay, undercarriage and color code pics. Ad below sounds like seller is original owner and had it shipped to US.http://www.ebay.com/itm/1985-Porsche...tZiOBb&vxp=mtr

Seller:5 SPD STANDARD SHIFT, 46,342 miles, passport 9500ci radar detector built into the vehicle also can be updated every year....alpine cd stereo with new alpine speakers and power booster also alpine.. interested parties can reach me at 781-289-0888 or 617- 968-7070 ask for jerry.....this vehicle was purchased new in 1985 and then shipped to new jersey, upon arriving i had to federalize her in order to be able to get her in the united states part of the federalization process was to change the odometer from kilometers to mph, also we had to change the catylitic converter for the united states emisions and change the 17 digit vin # wpozzz92zfs841019 to a massachusetts vin # which is ma26738...if none of this was done i could not legally drive or sell this porsche in the united states of america.....
