I fell asleep at the wheel, forgot this auction ended:

http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1979-porsche-928-4/

You know, for all the issues with that seller (and his wife) in the communication area, I think the car sold well.

Car didn't sale last summer. It's on consignment and the dealer has no info on the car when I contacted him last year. Hoepfully, he will have more info. Repainted with probable accident hx. Rear bumper is not euro. Deep scratch that is obvious on the driver's door right below the lock.

Still very nice. Don't like the Porsche batches on the sides.

With Dennis' '83 manual (granted much more sorted) fetching more than $18-20k today from BaT, this is going to be a bargain at $5k.

I know. I can't believe the price is at $17,500. Very encouraging for my '84...

Hi Ed / All - this was much better than I expected although the car looks really great in black and is a nicely sorted car! Thanks for your support and comments. I think that makes a big difference and gives prospective bidders a great deal of confidence. I think it also helped that 65notchback (Chris) came out to see the car and really liked it. He is looking for a 928 to park next to his 65 Mustang track car and lives pretty close to me - nice guy.

Get ready for the red 89 S4 ... with freshly detailed and waxed paint (thanks to your feedback Ed) and new pictures (sans the swirl marks). Im not a red car lover, but damn this car is nice (probably the nicest interior I have seen in an S4) and fully sorted.

OMG Nate, it looks like he made a video directly based on my feedback to him! I commented about how good it was that the things that are normally broke, like the rear wiper and sunroof, worked. The idle is steady too, so they must have warmed it up properly first. Also, they cleaned the interior. It was pretty dirty. I think the car is a good one for the price - nice entry into the early scene, with a car that won't take much to restore.

You would not believe how hard it is to find a silver 928 w/o side moldings. I've been searching for years for an 85-86 auto.
