Default New arrival 1979 #395

Just arrived: Owner claims he bought it off his friend that was the original owner. 30k miles but not running the last 12 years and stored outside. It looks like the red is a repaint over petrol blue

This car is still available after almost an hour? Is the internet broken?

Mark, will you sell me that bit that's sitting in the screwdriver handle? I've found that the flanges on the bits on my 79 are different than the later cars (further down, thinner, and come out/butterfly further).

I'm not sure if the car will be parted and I already have a standing order for all the tools.
sorry

Thanks for getting back to me. I completely understand. Do you have the bit from another car that matches the 79 bit that belongs in the handle?

It is a 5sp and I found some paper work showing new tires in 2001. The receipt claims 29k miles and those tires appear to be on the car now ( lots of age cracks) so the mileage claim may be accurate. I had a friend try to run a car fax but no go
