Default Mad Max'ed

Trucker 'didn't see me' and merged into my '88 on the freeway, today.

Barely felt it. Just a wee crunch, then thumpa-a-thumpa.

Not sure if the truck's damage was pre-existing, unless it was from rim chunks.

And they are used to paying out on claims like this.

Going to guess that the plastic on the side of the truck was damaged in the accident.

They make it super thin to save weight. Pretty much any impact will trash it.

And that "right side just behind the passenger door" is a bad blind spot, even with the spot mirrors and the fender mirrors. Especially with a smaller car (not trying to take the blame away from the driver).

That "left to right lane change" is one of the top accident situations.

Hopefully you'll get enough $$ to fix the car up and experiment on some new & exciting "upgrades" that we all may benefit from... Other than that, glad you made it without a scratch

I've seen the spike covers on the wheel bolts just like Mad Max, happy it didn't have those.

Had that happen to a 924 years ago with dump truck in Seattle. The Co. that owned the truck didn't have insurance on the driver and I was out several K.

Sucks, glad your claim is working out better than mine did.
