Looks like a very nice result. I'm surprised the rub strips a) didn't prevent the damage and b) survived the repairs!

Rubz delete would have been nice. I only thought about it after they were almost done. (These guys worked fast.)

Needz clear side markerz, clear front turn signalz and euro front light fillerz, now for sure!

Still getting used to >100 more HP/TQ (compared to any of my other cars), again.

Ken, are those Cayman 18" wheels on your car?

They look really nice painted black!

Barely felt it. Just a wee crunch, then thumpa-a-thumpa.

Not sure if the truck's damage was pre-existing, unless it was from rim chunks.

OUCH!!!!

Good to see you are OK

Cayman S, 18 x 8 ET 57, 18 x 9 ET 43

The offsets are good enough for S4-up, AFAIK, and they fit great with 225 and 255 section tires. (43 on the rear doesn't work with earlier S 25mm spacers.)

I may have to go through the rest of the rims and have them powder coated again. They look a bit shabby in comparison to the new one as the original powder coating wasn't done very well.

One more just to finish showing off.

Rear bumper cover from a 24K mile car (same color). Original was warped, cracking - it was full of pounds of filler.

Sharp eyes may notice the Escort Max 360 (and that the left wiper blade is set a touch too high for the detector). Hawt.

I hate you; I picked the wrong color 928 to own. Zermatt silver is sexy.

I am giving serious consideration to turning my Silver Metallic car into a Zermatt Silver car whenever it gets its eventual repaint.

Great result! Looks really nice.

Not to switch topics, but how do you like the Escort 360? Did you ever own a V1?

Must be the overcast lighting. It's plain old Silver Metallic.

I have always used, ahem, Escorts. No Valentines.

The 360 is sweet. Mostly, for me, because it is so quiet. I trained in all of the local false alerts (built in GPS) and it has really fast processing to deal with traffic counting or lane change or cruise radars, etc. I traded in my old 8500 ($80 refund when purchasing from Escort) which had become really annoying in the last couple of years due to all of the false alerts. The multi-color (=band) arrows are interesting but only occasionally helpful so far.

I've only managed to get about 1/4 value out of it (IE. warned in time) in the couple months I've owned it, but that was driving my slower cars. It should pay for itself in short order now that it is summer and I have the silver bullet back.

Oops...ha ha....possibly I'm just impressed by silver paint that is not oxidized with a bad clearcoat...
