Ok- just to ensure there is no confusion here- you trash you old motor by "accidentally" leaving some gunge in the inlet tract, get enormous sympathy from the "Trouble and Strife", and end up with a new GB motor- great ploy- doubt I can work that one and get away with it but nice play indeed! Seems most of us need a lesson in "how to train your better half".

Hopefully the end game will more than make up for the $$$'s pain. Is this a revamped std motor or is there "something special" inside the motor, not that any motor the good doctor touches is not special to start with.

Did you get some of the bits replated, or were they in that nice of shape? Looks good, the anticipation level must be through the roof by now.
