I did pretty well on that list....owned E-types and XKs, couple 928s and a few 911-912s ....somehow missed out on the Saab

That list missed one fine automobile....the Iso Grifo.

Can I count my 2003 9-3? It's a GM car underneath the skin but it's also a lot of fun. A 2L turbo with a 6-speed. It's whisper quiet on the road and fun to drive...for a FWD car.

Why an 87? Given the nature of the list, I'd think a 78 would be most appropriate. Then again, quite a few odd choices on the list IMO.

You should watch the special Jeremy Clarkson did on SAAB. One of their downfalls was how little they borrowed from GM with those vehicles which skyrocket production costs.

Second downfall was Saab's inability to manufacture a rear badge that didn't have paint failure. It's hard to put to put alot of faith in a brand if the emblem doesn't even hold up, IMO.

Thanks for pointing that out. That was fun.

I find GM-labelled parts on the car when I'm working on it. There's a key to the part numbers that says if they're GM parts or not. I did buy some swell pedal covers from a Vauxhall site for 1/2 the SAAB price including shipment from England.
