I do believe that that isn't correct. IIRC the towing capacity is ~3500 pounds.

Yup. Spec Books say 1600kg for a braked trailer. 3527 pounds.

If you search back in time far enough you will find posts from Mark wondering if he could tow his (lightened) 928 race car on an aluminum trailer with a 928. He decided it probably wasn't a good idea.

It's just jalopnik spreading word from a Pelican post authored by someone that can't read. Total weight of car with luggage and passengers + trailer is 7500+.

That sounds more like it. Anyone know max tongue weight for our cars ? T

1991 GT or S4. The wheels would be the same, but the color was not available before 1991.

Still better than the Panamera, which in my opinion is what happens when you apply the 50 Shades of Gray methodology to breeding a 997 with a Mercedes S-class.
