Default 1984 Euro Questions. A little help please.

Working on reassembling the 84 Euro. Have a few questions:

1. Anyone know of a thread or post showing how to install the rubber gasket / window scraper in the door metal trim (the lower piece on the outside door skin)?

2. My buddy has a rubber gasket / filler piece installed on each side of the windshield in his 88 S4... I remember the Feather plastic filler pieces that weren't a great fit / could blow out. These are different, fit tight and look like gasket material. His car was bought from a Rennlister in Texas I believe. Any clue on where I can find these?

3. We've got a GTS mirror kit, complete with wiring harness, etc, but not much in the way of directions / wiring diagrams. Anyone know of a thread or post walking you through the install / wiring of GTS mirrors on a early model (84) car?

That's it for today... I'm sure I'll have more ??? tomorrow

Thanks in advance, Joel

Thanks for the link. I've been informed that we cannot make GTS mirrors function fully on a early model car (pre-87). I know the memory functions won't work, but L to R and Up & Down SHOULD be a no brainer... We'll give it another Coast Guard try...

Windshield seals need cutting to shape for the ends - lots of lubrication. Trim lengthwise until you get a snug fit. Do not force or use metal tools or you could break the glass. Use common sense.

Roger,

Thanks for the video - that'll help immensely I was also inquiring about some aftermarket window filler / gaskets. Saw them on an 88 S4. Do you sell them? If so, how much do they cost? I'll be careful installing them if I can FIND them

Thanks again!

I'm sure there are... but the search engine on here kinda sucks... or operator error... either way, I can't find crap

Been fixing a ton of small stuff, busted rad hose, replaced some vac lines, etc. GTS mirrors are done. Installed the headlight mechanism and the HID headlight upgrades are almost done - having an issue with the headlight motor (electrical - no power - probably a fuse / relay or ground). Slowly but surely making some headway

Roger's 928 GTS windshield gap side seals:

I have a pair. They are pretty nice. Easy to install too.

Thanks for the link! I sent Roger a fairly long parts list today and included a pair of the windshield gaskets / fillers. They look like they are stock and really clean up that area around the glass
