Default In love again.....

So asyou can tell the 928 is getting some lovin....

Today after I fixed the high idle I drove it to pick up my 13 year old son from school and take him to golf team tryouts.... He had a friend going with him....
He was if course excited about going in the 928 as the alternative was a dirty work truck I am currently driving for work as mine is in the shop.

His friend was really in awe.... He was going on and on about the car. All the kids were looking at us and checking out the kids... The were loving the attention.

I was reassured how cool these cars are to bridge the generation ago and still be cool to my sons generation.

Rather jealous of you....mine is still up on lift bars, and can't wait to pick up my kids from school at an event.

They will inevitably roll their eyes at first, but I guarantee that'll go away once I open things up a bit

Edit:
My 11 year old daughter will roll her eyes.

With x pipe and rmb. It sounds ......mean...
My son was stoked that a bunch of the young ladies were checking him out.

The 928 gets so much more attention than the newer porches... They are very understated...

Yep, my son drove the 82 to high school for 2 years.

He was never wanting for female companionship.

I'm considering an old s2 for Logan...

I have the only one here so it gets lots of attention.

Hehe.
Ironic, but I just had this happen as well.
It was early release on Friday picking up the kids.
The Ssss comes in behind a bunch of mini-vans, and when I got to the front of the line I couldn't figure out why every body stopped and stared. Then I see a little kid mouth the word "coooool", and I'm like, ahhhhhh, its the car. lol.

You should have seen my nine year old daughter (the speed junkie) hanging out the passenger side widow as we left... yelling "hey dudes, is this fast enough for you all?" I was just laughing and shaking my head. She's the one that's going to be the keep me on my toes when she's a teen.

Oh dear!

That sounds just like my daughter.... when she was 10 or 11, I showed her how to use the "build your own Porsche" configurator... (http://www.porsche.com/usa/modelstart/)
She immediately jumped to the 918 Spyder and made "a blue one"....

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$

ha ha, now I need 4 new jobs. One to have enough $ to fix the poor old 928 and 3 more to pay for "the blue one" ha ha !

Dan, just don't let her upsell you into the Weissach Package variant! Put your foot down if it comes to that.

Yes they sound similar. Mine is a piece of work, at six she packed a bag, walked into the living room and explained to her mother and I ..."I'm leaving to find my real family." lol.

She recently told me that she wasn't that worried about grades ... "I'll just marry well."
