Big Als' center console help
I am finally installing the center console kit from big Al.
Can't figure out how the l3v3r arm for the flap works...
Anyone that has installed it and can help?

Hi Steven,
The lever I made fits in the small horizontal slot between the round louvers, and sweeps sideways to activate the microswitch from behind. It will take a bit of tweeking of this lever to get it to activate the switch properly. Best to leave the bracket loose, just set it in place and look through the round louver holes to see what adjusting is needed on the lever, then pull out the assembly, bend the lever, and set it back in to check motion again. It took me several tries to get the bend/twist of the lever just right. Use the standard hex nut to hold the lever in place until the lever works correctly, then replace the nut with the self-locking nut and set the friction on the lever to your taste. Make sure the flat washer is between the lever and the bracket surface it bolts to - this is the smooth running face.
Hope this helps - any questions just ask!
