The crimped tabs don't look like they have been undone and re-crimped, I am not seeing any tool marks. Or maybe it was someone with some skills
But then how did it get upside down?

If you could call it a problem, Rob gets ahead of me when doing work on the car. I leave him for a few hours and the radiator comes out, lol!

this is going to be fun, we did have a friend, who is a master surfacer, come by and evaluate what it will take to get the exterior up to a high quality. I am still not sure how far we will take it.

Mechanicals first. Chris and all, thanks for the encouragement. It will be a long road to recovery.

Underside wasn't painted with metallic paints so it can't be same as top. Basically its always similar light grey or off white.

Here a few before and after pics of the steam clean. As Rob mentioned, money well spent to see with what we are working. there is Minerva all over the wheel wells, metallic paint on those surfaces similar to my S4 and GTS.

Thanks Erkka, I agree with you on the underside. My misunderstanding!

Just so we don't think Rob's incredible midnight blue GTS is getting kicked to the curb, it is tucked in my garage in good company. Man that thing is INSANELY fast! (did I say that out loud...)

Pretty gutsy of you flying that drone around all that hardware in the garage, just to snap a couple of pics.

Hard to see in the garage below the car maybe, but the original TRX's that were mounted from the factory in '82 are for show only. There is still Maranello air in those tires! This BBi actually gets driven.

Don't judge too quickly!

I know TRX was terrible idea since it didn't catch on. I think they are still made for concourse use. Wheels are exactly what I would have also. There is only one BB in here. I think it gets driven every now and then with original wheels and around two decade old rubber. I wouldn't feel comfortable to use them.

I never see those BBs...maybe they weren't imported here (US)? One of my all time favorite cars...

They weren't. Not officially and those which did many times got really ugly bumpers to pass regulations. Nowdays its difficult to find cars which still have ugliest versions mounted.

Front LCA, August '77 casting date. Question- under the part number, there is the SIII logo. Also present on factory wheels, and many other cast parts. Anyone know which company that represents?

I think Minerva deserves some bigger wheels.....
