I like this car and reminds me of my 79 when I got it. History and service records are a real plus.

Pasha would make this irresistable

It looks like it went over $2K last night. I'm out.

Pretty amazing what nice photos and a good writeup does to the price of this car, right? Current owner, I think is a car dealer, probably paid no more than $1800 for this car. I think it will go $3-3500.

Is it me or does the engine appear to be leaning heavily to the right side?

either way , I love seeing this climb!

Now that you mention it, it looks like the entire thing is shifted. The intake runners look low on the right side, and the center line of the spider looks like its pointing somewhat to the left of the center line of the car.

That price is crazy. Hell: It's stupid, unless the buyer is getting something more out of it than a very tired 928.

I'm not saying it will not sell, but you have to take eBay winning bids with a grain of salt until you know the deal is done and for how much.

Story I've told before, friend of mine was selling a couple of highly collectible non-runners on eBay (not 928's) within the last year or so. Both cars went through 3-4 auctions, all with vigorous bidding and a different winner each time. Each winning bidder backed out, never completed the sale, more or less "bidders remorse" since eBay is non-binding, there is zero recourse for backing out.

He finally found a buyer for one of the cars after he started contacting every bidder during he auction and followed up with them after the winner backed out.

It was a very eye opening experience and basically, eBay is just a high exposure classified ad for cars no different than Auto Trader now.

Yep. eBay has made it favorable for sport bidders. I fear that even with the penalty, BAT may go the same way. I have heard of many BAT sales falling thru

BAT enforces a 5% buyers premium on the winning bidder if he/she purchases the vehicle...or not. T

Haven't there been two recent 928 BAT auctions that the buyer backed out on?

Jim Doerr's OB and Alex's "One of one" green car (don't remember the exact color).
