Not many GTS up for sale in the UK at the moment. There does appear to be a black one for sale down south but it's left hand drive. You may find you need to make a compromise on colour or model. There is less than 100 gts left registered in the country apparently. I'll bet half of them are blue. Good luck

Default Thanks Mike and ROG!

I know, I've been looking for a while and found only a few nice black ones and no GTSs which is the model I really want. I'll take a look on the 928 forum as suggested!

Thanks!

You could also try posting on porscheclubgb and tipec.

I originally wanted a black GT and waited about 8 months. A low mileage black s4 popped up in North Queensferry and I ended up grabbing it. I'm in Edinburgh btw

Nice! Thanks for replying. Well, now that you've got one, I'd love to hear if you see another! I'll check those forums though!

Was your wait worth it? I've only driven a GTs and S4s but I'd prefer a GTS.

Thanks again!

Yeah, this is a nice car I've spoken to them. Sadly I need an RHD.

Thanks!

Yes definitely worth the wait and I would say they grow on you the longer you have them.

Range rover, that's the one black one for sale I can see in the UK but it's left hand drive

What do you think of this car? I know it's not black but silver's a good second best...

How about "almost black"? This looks like midnight blue, even though the ad claims it's iris blue...

That is a nice looking car but the price- wow! Last time I looked at the UK 928 market I saw something like that for half the price [about 3 years ago]- have they moved up in price by that amount or are the dealers "testing the market" to see if they can get someone to bite?

Rgds

Prices of classic porsches seem to have gone boom in the last year or so. Seemed to coincide with the upturn in the economy. I can't verify 928 actual sale prices but I know 944 turbo sellers appear to be getting their asking prices at what would have seemed crazy a year or two ago. Old 911s are selling for silly prices too almost regardless of condition.

I'm glad I bought in when I did. Mid recession. Bought for £6500 just reinsured for £15000 and even that could be on the low end if I had to buy a replacement from a dealer. Once my current issues are fixed I'm going to get it valued and up th insurance a bit

Looks good. I was going to go look at it but decided against it because of the colour - dumb I know! I haven't seen that blue in real life before - is it as dark as it looks?

I know, it seems bloody expensive - over priced really, but looks in good condition - wondering whether it was worth a haggle!
