Black 928 GTS WANTED Scotland.

Yeah they are a match. I even have the gts wheels. If your in the area give me a shout. If you want to run a diag scan on the car I've just purchased the UDT999. Still working out how to use it. There is a tipec porsche meet in Boness which I went to once my 944.
If you do the exhaust mods. Get the rear pinch bolt on the torque tube checked while tge exhaust is off. I didn't know and am kicking myself as I'll need to take it off again.
Out of interest if you don't mind me asking. What did you pay for it and what's the milage. Understand if you don't want to post this info. Just curious about actual sale prices for these cars.

Good point. Will do. Thanks Fred. I've had the car checked by a Porsche garage and they were happy. Obviously that's no guarantee!

Question: can you mod the exhaust as you've described but have a tailpipe that looks stock? I'm not in love with the twin exhaust thing.

Good to know you have secured- wish you well - just make sure you leave a few pennies in the piggy bank to pick up the inevitable items that will occur and if they do not then so much the better. Just remember it is a 26 year old car and by definition it is now a classic. Doubtless you are aware but you can get special insurance rates for such providing you do not exceed certain mileage limit restrictions.

You can install the x-pipe by itself and leave the stock tail pipe and muffler. The performance gain is from the x-pipe which deletes the cats. The rmb just adds some noise. There may be other rmb options out there but unless they are silenced then like the one from porsche 928 spares (Paul Anderson) then I think it would be too loud without the cats. If you really wanted one I guess he may be able to do a custom one with the standard tail.

Can't see the other one on car and classic though. Any chance you could send a link?

And thanks for all the tips Mike!

I would say it may be promising but I would want to know more about why the motor had to be rebuilt.
133k miles is not a humungous mileage but it is not exactly low mileage territory either so possibly a fair price- this may be a good thing by the way.
Another positive- it is a few miles from my home town [Dewsbury- what a dump!].
