Somebody cut away 20% of the body with a sawzall=no collect-ability or long term value. Good fun, though.

Yup, I didn't have any misconceptions about future collectability or value when I decided to go ahead with mine, and have been customizing and installing non OEM upgrades for the past few months getting it just how I want it. It's quite liberating to work on a project like this where you don't have to think about what the 928 faithful would think and being able to do whatever I please. So it's still a 928 and tied to the community, but will be so much more (to me) with the supercharger, modern shifting from the Z-06 6-speed, stereo, etc. Once you take a car to a 3rd party conversion house, it's never going to be worth as much as an unmolested original, no matter how good the work is, unless it's done by someone like RUF who has their own reputation of excellence and making special Porsches, but they're about the only one I can think of.

Often times people make mistakes when setting up a vehicle for sale on CL so perhaps it's not a salvaged. But it clearly would be something to inquire with the seller. I have seen many 1 ton "front wheel drive" truck on CL and some two-wheel drive Land Cruisers.

Nice convertible and looks like in good shape. I wish it was closer to me and that it was a 5 spd. Heck, I have a 1989 bumper somewhere to put on it.

I'd buy it for my Wife in a heartbeat if close or even with a couple states.
I'd want to be sure and see/drive it for myself, so many turds out there (looked at one today)
