UPDATE..
Just stuffed the new engine today.
>>>>
Over bored one cylinder
All new..
main and rod bearings
rings
1 piston
and about everything else.
The slope got slick
Mostly all new suspension
PC everything
all hardware new or zinced
injectors to WH
…
The list is ridiculous.
I only cussed once when dropping it in today and bled just a little.
I cracked the pan off the old engine and it is ugly. Thrust bearing is spun as well.
Hope to possibly make it to Carlisle.

The break-in of the rebuilt engine went well. Yesterday I rattle canned the underside of the hood, powder coated the final pulley, and the lower bell housing. Going to finish final installation of the odds and ends, and hopefully drive this week. What an adventure.

Good luck John - that's a nice car - saw it at Frenzy, and you did a lot of work to it. I think it is well priced.

Hey Ed,
just a close to this thread.
I finally tore down the block today.
Cylinder walls all look great.
Pistons have some skirting wear.
rod bearing looked pretty good
substantial wear on the front main.
Thrust bearing was spun and barely had any edge left.
A gouge had worn into the block that is probably about 1/16th to an 1/8th deep. I don't have access to my mic.at this time.
Still pleased with how it ran for the remainder of its life.
