My son's birthday is on Monday, and I've been searching for the last several months for a set of the stock gold brembo calipers for his Spec V Sentra SE-R. These were an option for this car, but his doesn't have them. I found a set on Craigslist, and from the ad it looks like they are in Lindale, TX. I don't know if the seller will ship. I'd be happy to pay someone for their efforts in buying and picking up the brakes, and stopping by fed ex or UPS and sending them over. I would PayPal money ahead of time.

Google Maps says it 90 miles from Dallas.

 

90 miles in Texas is "just down the street" but almost everyone in DFW is in Rockport for the spring fling this weekend. If my daily driver checks out tomorrow I'd be more than willing to run down and pick them up.... but I won't know until mid morning... I've driven farther for good food.... so I can help out if my ride cooperates...

 

Adam, I won't be there for a few weeks but could carry them back in luggage. Timing is off ever so slightly. ;(

 

Seller on this ad is convinced I'm a scammer. Who'd a thunk that Craigslist Sellers would be so much less sophisticated the Ebay Sellers? I told him I'd PayPal the funds, and he wouldn't have to send them until the funds cleared. He seems to think that there is still someway I can get the money back after he's sent the parts. Sounds like he wants cash in hand.

 

If you can get him paid & he will box them up I can send a ups call tag and have them picked up and delivered to you . If you have the time I will have a driver down in that area in a few days or I could run down and get them and pay him.

Very frustrating to deal with a seller not willing to do any thing short of receiving cash in hand, no matter how easy I made it for him. But I guess that's what craigslist is about.
Without question, my son was the happiest 17 year old in the world yesterday in getting the news his birthday present had been procured.
