Default Classic car rescue, 928gt - 12-3-14 10pm est

He guys, all new s2 e1, they redo a 928 GT
This show is on velocity, I've been noticing a collection of junkyard 928's in the new shows previews in the past months.

I know I'll be watching

Wasn't this the episode where they looked at the Timing belt and said "it looks new it's fine"?

If I remember correctly they glossed over many items.

I just watched it. I cringed at their ham-handed approach to taking it apart. However, it seemed to turn out quite nice - loved the linen sport seats with contrasting piping. Their unfamiliarity with this complex car, coupled with the tight time-frame, didn't help. I kept thinking "slow down!"

Sue kept asking, "How's the timing belt look?" Not bad, though.

It looked to me they used three different cars. Show started out with an S3 rear bumper on a GT, Painted the second, and put the third on the road which had the hood crest missing. That's show biz. I'm sure they borrowed cars from the club group that was displayed at one point (the good looking ones.

saw it. OK, who on here was on the show? Who was the guy (Mr 928) who is in charge of the 928 registry for the Porsche Club? Anybody we know?
Wonder what happened to the D90 wheels. Maybe they sold them to offset the other costs.

Was wondering the same, if anyone here knew of the show, they have a great looking group of cars.

I cringed when they took a big hammer and started beating on the caliper and tossed it on the ground,
looked a bit rough on the reinstall. Guessing that Engine "service" didn't include new hoses and most likely hurt the evaluation in the end.

It's great seeing the 928's getting some good show time and not one having a house strapped to the roof

I'm confused on why this is a "new" episode?

Are sorted GTs really that cheap in the UK? What is that, about $20k?
